Free Image Editors
Before you add your photos and image to photo slideshow software, it would be better to edit the all photograph by removing red-eyes, adjust over-exposure, etc.
It is almost admitted by most people that PhotoShop is the most professional image editor but also the most expensive one. Here, we are trying to find some image editor with a less fancy layout and less capabilities but are totally free.
Irfanview
According to the statistics from Irfanview, the program is downloaded over 1 million times per month since year 2003. The program is an image viewer and editor. It supports all major graphic formats and editing images by drawing lines, circles, arrows, straightening image, processing the image. The program is only for the Windows system.

Paint.NET is a Windows only free image editor as well. It supports features including tools to crop, rotate, resize images, adjust colors, and create collages. Compared with Irfanview and Faststone, PaintNet is more like an image editor with more professional image editing features.
